Europe seeks to suspend the partnership agreement with Israel.
According to Al Jazeera Qatar, the American media outlet Politico has revealed possible measures by the European Union, citing a confidential draft, in which the partial or even complete suspension of the EU’s partnership agreement with Israel is being considered.
According to the document, this measure is a response to increasing reports of Israeli human rights violations in the Gaza Strip.
The document, prepared by the “European Union External Action Service”, includes a set of options for responding to Tel Aviv’s actions during the Gaza war.
Politico also announced that alternative options, including depriving Israel of participation in EU academic and student programs, have also been proposed in the document.
In this regard, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez called on the European Union to take concrete steps to stop the war and called for the suspension of the partnership agreement with Israel.
