European Union employees protest against the policy of this European bloc regarding Gaza

PNN – The employees of the organizations affiliated to the European Union protested the EU’s policy towards Palestine on Thursday and demanded an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza and the release of all prisoners.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network from “Anatolia” the employees of various European Union institutions held a silent demonstration against the Union’s policy towards the Palestinian territories occupied by Israel by unfurling a banner that read “EU employees support peace and justice”.

They also demanded the condemnation of all crimes and violations of rights that are committed in the occupied Palestinian territories, the cessation of arms trade between EU member states and Israel, and the cancellation of the EU-Israel agreement.

Protesters also called for the implementation of recent decisions of the International Court of Justice (ICJ), under which the court has accused Israel of genocide for its continuous attack on the Gaza Strip.

The protesters distributed leaflets detailing their actions and goals and asked people to join their movement.

More than 1,700 EU employees “have signed this letter to our leadership,” the leaflet said, citing European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen as saying: The bloodshed in Gaza must stop now.

The Israeli regime has started a devastating war against the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. During this period, 70% of the houses and infrastructures of the Gaza Strip have been severely damaged, and the miserable siege and severe humanitarian crisis, along with the unprecedented famine and hunger, threaten the lives of the residents of this area.

The Gaza Ministry of Health has announced that the number of martyrs of the Gaza war has increased to more than 40,000 people and the number of injured has increased to more than 94,000 people.

At the same time, the Israeli regime has admitted that after about 11 months of war, it has not yet been able to achieve its goals of this war, which is to destroy the Hamas movement and return the Zionist prisoners from the Gaza Strip.
