In a report published on Tuesday evening, Kipa, the Hebrew-language website, announced that the electricity department has added 3.8 percent to the price of electricity and stated that the war, economic problems and the need to develop the electricity network were also the reasons for this action.
According to this Zionist media, it was decided in the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Electricity Authority that starting next January, the price of electricity will be increased by 3.8% so that on average each family will spend 14 shekels more in this regard.
Meanwhile, each Israeli family used to pay an average of 391 shekels per month (3.6 shekels per dollar) for electricity, excluding VAT.
This is the second increase in the price of electricity in less than a year in Israel. Previously, last February (9 months ago), 2.6 percent was added to the price of electricity; while usually this increase was applied only once a year.
In this regard, Haaretz newspaper’s economic supplement reported in today’s issue that the value added tax has reached 18%, and this has increased the concern of more expensive goods.

In this report, it is stated that since the beginning of the events of October 7 until today, the fruit and vegetable market in Israel has witnessed increased disorder, which has had a direct impact on prices and consumption trends.
From October 2023 onwards, prices have been on a continuous upward trend, according to the monitoring conducted by the Retail Research Center.
