PNN – American news sources are reporting an explosion at oil and lubricants manufacturing plant in the United States.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing NBC News, news sources reported that the Smitty’s Supply factory in Roseland, Louisiana, was closed due to a fire on Friday.

The incident occurred Friday afternoon at the company’s facility in Tanjipahua Parish, accompanied by multiple explosions, according to local officials.

The sheriff’s office said there were no reports of casualties, but a one-mile radius around the intersection of Highways 51 and 10 has been evacuated.

Also, according to this report, more than 35 American relief and security agencies were dispatched to the scene of the incident to contain the fire.

It is not yet clear whether the fire damaged the company’s production facilities or warehouses.

Smitty’s Supply is one of the largest independent manufacturers of lubricants and fuel products in the United States, with facilities in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and Hammond, Indiana (in the Chicago metro area), in addition to Louisiana.
