Whistleblower Sophie Brooke, who was one of the first women to serve in Britain’s submarine fleet, made the allegations public in 2022. Other women reported similar experiences in the Royal Navy.
The report now lists several claims made by Brooke that have been investigated by the Navy. The report described how men exchanged views on women and pursued them as “legitimate targets”. However, key sections are blacked out in the 117-page document.
