PNN – Families of Israeli prisoners in Gaza criticized the performance of the small security cabinet, declaring that the council has become “isolated from society” and that now is the time to finalize the prisoner exchange agreement.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera Qatar, these families called for a protest rally in front of the venue for the small security cabinet meeting in Jerusalem on Thursday.

They also emphasized that the lives of prisoners of war must be prevented from being endangered, and that the lives of Israeli soldiers must not become victims of an endless and aimless war.

The families warned that the military operation known as “Gideon’s Chariots 2” should not be allowed to determine the fate of the prisoners.

They added in the end: Enough is enough, there should be no more bargaining with the lives of Israeli prisoners.

In the event of a widespread invasion of Gaza, many Israeli prisoners and soldiers will be killed.

These statements were made an hour after Israeli army spokesman Avichai Edraei announced the start of the second phase of the Gaza occupation operation, known as “Gideon’s Chariots.”

The Israeli army spokesman also said: We will intensify attacks against Hamas in Gaza City and have begun carrying out preparatory operations to begin these attacks.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz approved the plan to attack Gaza City, which was presented to him by Eyal Zamir, Chief of Staff and Senior Command Team of the Israeli Army, and called it Operation “Gideon’s Chariots 2.”

Katz emphasized that the current plan is to continue Operation Gideon’s Chariots, claiming: The first phase of this operation led to the defeat of the Hamas movement and the army’s control over 75 percent of the Gaza Strip, and destroyed Hamas’ underground and above-ground infrastructure.

According to him, the current operation is also aimed at defeating Hamas, creating conditions to end the war, while also freeing all prisoners, disarming Hamas and deporting its senior figures, demilitarizing Gaza, ensuring a secure environment for the Zionist settlements, and maintaining the army’s freedom of action in Gaza.

The Zionist regime is launching the second phase of Operation Gideon’s Chariots at a time when most Zionist security and military officials and 71 percent of Israelis are calling for an end to the Gaza war and an agreement with Hamas to release the prisoners.
