He strongly criticized the behavior of the Zionist regime, saying: “The survivors of the Holocaust victims today are committing a new Holocaust against the Palestinian people.”

Referring to the Fatah movement’s combat history, Rajoub added: “We have never condemned armed action in our history, because our beginning was based on resistance and confrontation with the occupiers.”

The senior Palestinian official continued: “Israeli state terrorism has revealed the true face of this regime to the world.”

He concluded by pointing out that the full responsibility for the events of October 7 lies with the Israeli occupiers, adding: “The occupation is the root of all violence and the main factor in the continuation of conflicts in the Palestinian territories.”

Operation “Al-Aqsa Storm” was a massive and unprecedented military attack launched by Palestinian resistance groups, particularly Hamas, on October 7, 2023 (15 Mehr 1402). This operation was carried out in response to decades of occupation, the cruel siege of Gaza, and repeated attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque. This attack was accompanied by the firing of thousands of missiles and land, sea, and air penetration deep into the occupied territories, which led to the greatest intelligence and military defeat of Israel in its history. Following this operation, the Zionist regime, with the support of the United States, launched a devastating war against the residents of the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 66,000 Palestinians, in addition to the massive destruction and deadly famine.

Tel Aviv continues to commit genocide against the residents of the region by despising the international community and ignoring the UN Security Council resolution for an immediate cessation of hostilities and the orders of the International Court of Justice to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
