Fidan: Even thinking about relocating Palestinians is a waste of time.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan said in an interview with Anadolu Agency on Wednesday: “We oppose any plan that aims to remove the people of Gaza from the equation.”
Fidan criticized US President Donald Trump’s plan to occupy Gaza and forcibly transfer Palestinians to other countries and stated: “The issue of expelling Palestinians from Gaza is a situation that neither the region nor we accept, and even thinking and talking about it is a waste of time and a mistake.”
Referring to the visit of Abu Muhammad al-Julani, the leader of the terrorist group Tahrir al-Sham, to Ankara yesterday, he said: “Security issues, especially border security, increasing trade and relations with regional countries, were discussed and examined in this meeting.”
Fidan noted: “We are witnessing that the world is moving towards the law of the jungle and has adopted the attitude of ‘I do this because I am strong’ without considering the needs of others.”
He added: “The Turkish President and the Greek Prime Minister will meet at the High-Level Cooperation Council in April.”
