Fidan: Türkiye does not want to subjugate Syria by playing the role of an older brother

PNN – Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan stated on Tuesday night that drafting a new constitution for Syria is not an easy task and said that Turkey does not want to play the role of big brother or a country that wants to subjugate Syria.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Qatar’s Al Jazeera network, Fidan said: We are looking for bilateral relations based on equality and mutual respect with Syria, and we do not intend to dominate this country.

He stated that millions of Syrians live abroad; He added: Türkiye does not seek to influence Syria, nor does it want another country to influence Syria or take it under its control.
