Zionist Expert: The Purpose of the Operation Against Jenin Is to Weaken Hamas’s Achievements After the Gaza War
Elior Levy, a Zionist expert on Palestinian affairs, said regarding the strengthening of Hamas’s position after the implementation of the prisoner exchange agreement: “There is a direct connection between the release of prisoners and the current operation in Jenin, which aims to weaken Hamas, because this agreement has both freed many Hamas forces and increased its position in Palestinian public opinion.”
The Zionist expert emphasized that, of course, the Palestinian Authority is also concerned about the strengthening of Hamas in the West Bank after the implementation of the agreement.
