Analyzing the financial aid and weapons of the United States to the Zionist regime in the Gaza war.
Contrary to the speculations about the difference between the Democrats and the rightists in Tel Aviv, during the Gaza war, the United States was one of the main allies and supporters of the Zionist regime in the political, financial, and weapons fields. The adoption of such a position by the Biden government has caused foreign observers to consider the White House’s policies towards the Gaza war as the darkest point in his foreign policy record.
During his Nowruz speech, the supreme leader of the revolution explained the achievements and failures of the supporters and enemies of the Palestinian resistance by referring to the ongoing war in the Gaza Strip. Regarding the role and position of the United States in the Battle of al-Aqsa Storm, he said: “In the very first days of the Zionist regime’s brutal attack on the people of Gaza, the Americans traveled regularly, the Europeans constantly traveled one after the other, accompanying and supporting the Zionist criminals. They showed, they declared clearly; It was not just an announcement, they sent weapons, they sent facilities, and they gave all kinds of help. The darkness of today’s world is this; We are facing this world today. Referring to the actions of the Americans, Ayatollah Khamenei considered the result of Washington’s adoption of such a policy to be hated all over the world. Based on this, in the continuation of this note, we will try to have a look at the democratic financial armament aid to the Zionist regime during the Gaza war.
The deployment of the Gerald Ford ship in the Mediterranean Sea to support Israel
Financial aid – weapons.
Only an hour after the Al-Aqsa storm operation, the Biden administration announced the allocation of 2 billion dollars to send emergency aid to Israel. On October 20th, the Biden government allocated a $106 billion plan to help America’s allies in different parts of the world, based on which $14 billion was earmarked for financial aid to the Zionist regime. Despite the initial approval of this plan in the Senate, it seems that the rivalry between the Wilsonian and Jacksonian factions in the Republican and Democratic parties has delayed the approval of this bill.
Ron Kampias wrote in an article for The Times of Israel that allocating such huge aid to Israel is not just to maintain the regime’s superiority in the Gaza war; Rather, this financial aid was considered to strengthen Israel’s position on various fronts. In other words, American statesmen, contrary to their political position of not transferring the scope of the war to Lebanon or the Red Sea, are strengthening the military arsenal and the Israeli government to expand the scope of the war in other parts of the region.
The Zionist army could not engage in a war of attrition without American aid
Before the start of the Gaza war, the amount of US military aid to the Zionist army had reached a significant figure of 3.8 billion dollars per year. In other words, Israel has received more than 158 billion dollars in military aid since 1948. With the beginning of the Al-Aqsa storm war, a new chapter in military-security cooperation between the US and the Zionist regime began. On the orders of US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin, American task forces, stationed on the Gerald Ford ship, went to the eastern Mediterranean to support Israel’s military operations in Gaza.
At the same time, the US Department of Defense, while re-delivering the Iron Dome defense systems, assured Tel Aviv that ammunition, fighter jets and guided munitions would continue to be sent to the occupied territories. On October 14th, the second American ship along with F-16, F-15 and E-10 fighters left for West Asia. In addition to the above, the American Delta Force had a field presence during the planning and ground attack on Gaza and did not just provide financial assistance and advice.
