Financial Times sources have said that the American Patriot defense systems are vital for Ukraine’s defense, but these systems will not overshadow Kiev’s ability to counterattack and will not change the overall dynamics of the war.

Zelensky had previously said that the United States had resumed arms supplies to Ukraine.

The New York Times reported on July 2 that Washington had suspended the supply of Patriot systems, GMLRS precision-guided munitions, Hellfire guided missiles, Stinger man-portable air defense systems, and a number of other weapons to Ukraine. At that time, Kiev summoned US ChargĂ© d’Affaires John Ginkel, and Zelensky reminded him that Europe was unable to replace American weapons.

Trump said on July 3 that Washington would continue to provide military assistance to Kiev, and at the same time, the US weapons arsenal must also meet the country’s needs.

The US President effectively resumed the supply of weapons and military equipment to Ukraine on July 10. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio had said that the supply of American weapons to Ukraine would proceed according to a plan agreed upon between the White House and Congress.
