He stated that “we are part of the global movement to recognize the state of Palestine in the framework of supporting peace and a two-state solution”, and added: The recognition of the Palestinian state is a message from our side to the Palestinian nation and recognition of the United Nations resolutions.
Simultaneously with the action of the governments of Ireland, Spain and Norway in officially recognizing the Palestinian state, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ireland said: other European countries are seriously seeking to recognize the state of Palestine and will take steps in this direction.
He added: “Political negotiations should be started and everyone should work to find a solution to end the war in Gaza.”
Marten said, the recognition of the Palestinian state was important, especially since Netanyahu’s cabinet has taken steps to destroy the two-state solution.
He stated that the war against Gaza is an example of extremism and oppression of Palestinians for a long time by the Zionist regime.
Earlier, “Irish Independent” reported that the Irish government also announced in a statement that Dublin will recognize Palestine as an independent state on May 28.

According to this report, the countries of Spain, Ireland, Malta and Slovenia announced in a joint statement on March 22 that they have agreed to take the first steps to recognize the independent state of Palestine.
The efforts of these European countries to recognize Palestine are being made simultaneously with the increase in the number of martyrs and wounded in the Gaza Strip due to the brutal attacks of the Zionist regime.
