Foreign Minister of Pakistan: We are following up the agreements of Shahid Raisi’s trip with the new government of Iran

PNN – Emphasizing the geo-economic point of view and the country’s focus on economic diplomacy, Pakistan’s foreign minister said: We are following up on the joint agreements of the late Iranian president’s visit to Pakistan with the new government in Tehran.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, the meeting of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Senate of Pakistan was held in Islamabad with the presence of its chairman and new representatives and with the presence of Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country.

Senator Irfan Siddiqui, Chairman of Pakistan’s Foreign Relations Committee, reviewed the 100-day performance of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government and called for strengthening regional and international relations to ensure the country’s national interests, especially synergy with Pakistan’s neighbors.

He added: Ayatollah Raisi, the late president of Iran, was the first high-ranking official of a foreign country who expressed his serious desire to make an official visit to Pakistan after holding elections and forming a new government, and this visit took place in April.

Senator Mohammad Ishaq stated: Pakistan started its contacts with the statesmen of this country after the death of the late president of Iran and we are determined to follow up the agreements between the two countries during his visit to Islamabad with the new government of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The Pakistani foreign minister also said he would visit Kabul soon, citing the country’s challenges in relations with Afghanistan and the threat of terrorism along its borders.

He added: Pakistan is a responsible nuclear country and will never compromise on its nuclear assets and security.

Condemning the crimes committed by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian nation, Pakistan’s foreign minister announced that Islamabad will continue to support the legitimate struggle of the Palestinians to have an independent state and at the same time will demand a ceasefire in Gaza in regional and international forums.
