PNN – “Foreign Policy” website wrote in an analysis referring to the decisive role of Western military support in enabling Kiev to repel Russian attacks: Ukraine’s allies in the West, in an effort to avoid escalating tensions with Moscow, have adopted a more cautious approach that makes a real victory for Ukraine against Russia impossible.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from this American analytical media, the mood of war between Russia and Britain dominated the last summit of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in Washington, where members of the delegation unveiled plans to support Kiev and provide an “irreversible” path to the country’s eventual membership of the defense pact.
Foreign policy added: Western military aid has played a decisive role in enabling Kiev to repel Russian forces, but it has not yet been able to help this country achieve a real victory in the war.

Liana Fix, an EU member of the Council on Foreign Relations, said: “We support Ukraine to stay in the fight and make progress, but not to the point where it wins the war.” There is no real strategy to this war.
Rob Bauer, the admiral of the Royal Dutch Navy and the head of NATO’s military committee, also said on the sidelines of the summit: “The Ukrainians need something more than what we have set up (at the NATO meeting) to win.”
