According to the report of Pakistan News Network, McKenzie claimed in a note in the Atlantic magazine: All assessments of the future of the Middle East face an unpleasant reality for America, and that reality is that Iran still considers itself committed to achieving goals that threaten the interests of the region and the United States.
This retired general of the American army wrote in the continuation of his note: It must be said that drone technology, advanced air defense systems and the expansion of Iran’s ballistic missile arsenal have made it possible for this country to achieve these goals.
The former commander of the Central Command of the US Army in the Middle East and Africa (CENTCOM), added: Last month, when Tehran fired hundreds of missiles and drones at Israel, all these capabilities were displayed, and this attack showed that the continued presence of the United States is vital to counter Iran’s actions. But the current policy of the American government in the Middle East region is not the answer to the increasing power of Iran in this region.

In the continuation of his note, referring to the intensity and scope of Iran’s drone and missile attacks on the Zionist regime, which was carried out in response to the aggression of this regime against the consulate of our country in Syria, he wrote: This attack proved that if we are going to stay in the Middle East, we need to be prepared because the Iranians have shown time and time again that they will exploit our weakness.
In another part of his note, the retired general of the American army wrote, pointing out that Qassem Soleimani is a central figure in the modern history of Iran-US relations, wrote: During 30 years, Soleimani became the symbol and embodiment of IRGC Quds Force as a force whose focus was to carry out operations outside the borders of Iran.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the firing of dozens of drones and missiles towards the occupied territories and positions of the Zionist regime.
The announcement of the IRGC states: In response to the numerous crimes of the Zionist regime, including the attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus and the martyrdom of a group of commanders and military advisers of our country in Syria, the IRGC’s aerospace force fired dozens of aircraft at specific targets inside the occupied territories.
The representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Nations also announced: Iran’s military action was based on Article 51 of the United Nations Charter regarding legitimate defense in response to the aggression of the Zionist regime on the diplomatic places of our country in Damascus.
