PNN – The former CIA director has joined the growing group of critics in calling for Donald Trump to be removed from office through the 25th Amendment to the US Constitution.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network; Former CIA Director John Brennan told MSNBC that Trump is no longer qualified to remain in the White House, given his recent statements about the destruction of Iranian civilization and the danger he poses to human life.
Brennan, who was CIA Director under President Barack Obama, said: This person is clearly out of balance. I think the 25th Amendment was written with Donald Trump in mind.
He added that Trump is too dangerous and untrustworthy to be allowed to hold command of the United States, despite having enormous firepower at his disposal, including the US nuclear arsenal.
Brennan’s remarks put him at the forefront of a growing debate about Trump’s decision to go to war with Iran and his increasingly violent threats to inflict mass destruction on the country.
Trump has previously warned in brazen terms that he would destroy Iran’s entire civilization if Iran did not respond to his ultimatum, a threat that Brennan said implied the use of nuclear capabilities.
As Trump’s aggressive and brazen tone against Iran has intensified, a growing number of Democrats have called for the activation of the 25th Amendment. This amendment, added to the US Constitution in 1967, allows the vice president and a majority of the cabinet to remove the president for “inability to discharge the powers and duties of his office.”
According to the latest MSNBC tally, more than 70 congressional Democrats have called for the amendment to be implemented. However, the likelihood of this happening is close to zero because Trump’s Vice President J.D. Vance and his entire cabinet continue to demonstrate their absolute loyalty to the president.
