Former Egyptian presidential candidate: Gaza war proved the true source of resistance power

PNN – Hamdin Sabahi, Secretary General of the Congress of Arab Nationalism and a former candidate for the presidency of Egypt, stated: The war in Gaza proved that the real source of power, Arab nations and resistance, and the source of weakness is the official system of Arab countries.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Sabahi said in an interview with Al-Mayadin network: The Arab League summit in Bahrain could have decided that Arab countries would join South Africa in filing a complaint against Israel at the International Court of Justice.

He clarified: The Arab League’s final statement in Bahrain could have also addressed the 143 countries that agreed to Palestine’s membership in the United Nations and should have asked them to recognize Palestine.

Sabahi added: The expenses that were spent in the last decade to turn the enmity of the Arab countries with Israel into the enmity with Iran were huge, but the Al-Aqsa storm neutralized all these measures.

He pointed to the issues related to the Rafah crossing and the Zionist regime’s attack on this area from the Gaza Strip and said: Israel has violated the Camp David Agreement by entering the Philadelphia axis on the Gaza-Egypt border.

This left-wing Egyptian politician claimed: Netanyahu, in his contact with Egypt, asked Cairo to manage the Rafah crossing in coordination with Tel Aviv, but Egypt rejected this request.

Sabahi added: Israel was defeated in this round of the war and the fact that various Israeli officials are taking responsibility for this defeat is a kind of admission of defeat.

The former presidential candidate of Egypt emphasized: Al-Aqsa storm is a beginning for the freedom of Palestine and the cause of this nation has now become a completely human issue that must be preserved.

The participants in the 33rd summit of Arab League member states concluded their work on Thursday in a statement.
