Former head of Shabak: Israel will not have security without the establishment of a Palestinian state

PNN – The former director of the internal intelligence service of the Zionist regime Shabak admitted that this regime will not gain security until the Palestinians do not have their own country.

According to Pakistan News Network, Ami Ayalon, a retired admiral of the Israeli army, who was formerly the commander of the army’s navy and its internal intelligence service known as Shin Bet or Shabak, confessed in an interview, this regime will not be safe until the Palestinians have their own country and requested the release of “Marwan Barghouti”, the leader of the Fatah movement and the second Palestinian intifada, who is imprisoned in the prisons of the regime in order to lead negotiations for the formation of a Palestinian state.

According to Ayalon, destroying the Hamas movement is not a realistic military goal and the current operation of the Zionists in the Gaza Strip leads to the strengthening of support for this movement.

Israelis will only be safe if Palestinians have hope

He stated in this interview: We Israelis will have security only when the Palestinians have hope. The equation is this. If we want to say the same thing with military literature, we say that you cannot stop a person or a group if they believe that they have nothing to lose.

The former head of Shin Bet, contradicting his confession, stated: “Most Israelis believe that all Palestinians are part of Hamas or supporters of Hamas and do not accept the concept of a Palestinian identity. We consider them only people. Not a specific people or nation. We cannot accept the existence of a Palestinian people because if we do, we will create a huge obstacle to the concept of the Israeli state.”

Ayalon continued that releasing Barghouti, who has been imprisoned in the prisons of the Zionist regime since 2002, is a vital step towards holding meaningful negotiations.

The former head of Shin Bet said: “He is the only leader who can lead the Palestinians to form a state alongside Israel. Firstly, because he believes in the concept of two states, and secondly, because he has gained legitimacy by being in our prisons.

Palestinian people consider Hamas the only group that can fight for the establishment of a Palestinian state

Ayalon stated that in the current environment in the politics of the Zionist regime, his views are extremely unpopular, while Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, has promised to “destroy Hamas” and there is not much capacity for his recommendations to be followed up immediately.

“Whenever I say hate is not a plan and a policy, people get very upset,” he added.

Ayalon pointed out that the reason why Palestinians are currently supporting Hamas is that the Palestinian people see this group as the only group that can effectively fight for the establishment of a Palestinian state.

The former Zionist official continued, what almost everyone in the international community – both the enemies of the Zionist regime and its allies from China, America and Russia to regional powers – agree on is the need for a two-state solution.

He said: “The other option is to continue the war while we know that the wars are getting more and more violent.”

Today, 75% of Palestinians support Hamas

Ayalon also stated that the nature of Hamas is such that its destruction is an impossible goal for an army, but he also refused to comment on the current leaders of the Zionist regime.

He pointed out: “Hamas is not just a militant group. An ideology is associated with an organization, an organization that has a military branch. You cannot destroy it by military force. You may even deepen it by doing this. This is exactly what we are witnessing today. Today, 75 percent of Palestinians support Hamas.”

Ayalon also shared the memory that once “Moshe Dayan”, the former commander of the Zionist army, said that he would rather not sign a peace agreement with Egypt and keep the Sinai desert than surrender the Sinai desert by signing this agreement. 2 years later, a peace agreement with Egypt was proposed.

He continued: “Even today, we are saying exactly the same thing about the West Bank. We believe that security will be achieved if we conquer and occupy only with military force. The Yom Kippur War proved to us that we will suffer violence because of the occupation. Occupation will not bring us security and will bring us violence and death.”
