Former Israeli Prime Ministers: The Operation in Doha was unsuccessful and misplaced.
In an interview with Al Jazeera Mubasher, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert condemned some of the approaches of the regime’s cabinet and army and expressed concern about the consequences of continuing the war and its political consequences.
Olmert said that all Hamas members should be prosecuted, but the attack that took place in Doha last week was not carried out at the right place and time.
He added that the killing of the negotiating delegations shows that the other side no longer wants to negotiate and release prisoners.
Olmert also expressed regret over the martyrdom of the son of Khalil al-Hayyah, a senior Hamas official, and the injury to his wife, saying: Although Hamas must be punished, the killing of such a large number of civilians who had no role in the October 7 attack is unacceptable.
He stated, “I will cooperate with others in the pursuit to remove Netanyahu. Netanyahu does not represent us.”
Olmert went on to support the partial deal plan for the release of prisoners, adding that some officials and commanders of the Israeli army should be tried inside Israel for crimes committed.
