Former Pakistani Defense Minister: Supporters of Iran Sanctions Will Regret Their Action.

Retired Pakistani Army General Khalid Naeem Lodhi said in an exclusive interview with an IRNA correspondent in Islamabad on Saturday that, unfortunately, the anti-Iranian action of the US and its allies in the Security Council has no principled justification and reflects their biased approach towards the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He added: Israel is an accomplice of the US in dragging the snapback issue to the Security Council, and considering the Zionist lobby in the US and this country’s bullying approach, there was no other expectation than to serve Israel well and approve sanctions against Iran.

The former deputy minister of defense of Pakistan stated: We must note that voters against lifting sanctions on Iran are always under pressure from the US and have no independence of their own, although they will regret their actions.

He emphasized: Contrary to the imagination of Iran’s enemies, sanctions have added to the power and internal capacities of the Iranian people and system, and I certainly believe that Iran’s progress in the fields of defense, technology, and infrastructure is very impressive.

General Khalid Naeem addressed the European Troika and said: “My advice to these three countries is to maintain their dignity and independence, and that the time has come to come out of the pressure and end their dependence on America. America is a declining power and it knows very well that its position and credibility are falling every day, so this declining power is struggling to maintain its position and wants to show more power by suppressing other independent and strong countries like Iran.” The former Pakistani defense minister emphasized: “The biased move of the Western front has no place in the UN Security Council, but Iran, on the other hand, has also made its case by showing its power against the Zionist regime and has proven that it has become self-sufficient in all areas and does not need any dependence on the West.”
