Former Pentagon analyst: NATO is not able to defend European countries’

According to Sputnik, Karen Kwiatkowski, former Pentagon analyst and a retired colonel of the US Air Force, referring to NATO’s inability to defend European countries, said that the reason for this unpreparedness is that the major part of the alliance’s defense capabilities has been destroyed in Ukraine.

Kwiatkovsky said: “NATO is not able to defend European countries because most of its defense forces have been sent to Ukraine and have been destroyed so far.” European members of NATO do not want to develop their defense, diplomacy, or commercial capabilities due to the prominent and dominant role of America in this military alliance, especially its position in nuclear defense.

Referring to the recent NATO summit in Washington, he said that this meeting was held to benefit Western arms dealers. Regarding NATO’s statement, he added: “It is an administrative and organizational document that is more suitable for the complicity of the pyramid of American weapons manufacturers than it is a practical instruction for the future of NATO.” At the same time, this document is a warning to the rest of the world that this military coalition knows no bounds in its territorial ambitions, and with the current level of defense spending, it is a threat to global peace and stability, trade in the Black Sea and Pacific regions.

According to Kwiatkowski, the bulk of this statement contradicts any defensive inclinations of the alliance, as NATO is already seeking specific wars and pre-war actions against Russia and China on various fronts and regions.

Last Wednesday, NATO members released a joint statement at the end of the Washington summit, in which they criticized the alliance’s efforts to isolate Russia as much as possible, strengthen its security on the eastern front, increase security assistance to Ukraine and the “irreversible” path of Kyiv joining the NATO is emphasized.

EU foreign policy chief Joseph Borrell said yesterday that NATO’s new expansion plan includes preparations for the mobilization of around 300,000 troops in the EU. This bloc currently has 150,000 operational military personnel.
