PNN – Former South Korean president sentenced to life in prison for leading a rebellion.

According to the report of Pakistan News Network, former South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol was sentenced to life imprisonment by a court on charges of leading a rebellion by imposing martial law in December 2024.

South Korea’s impeached President Yoon Seok-yeol was arrested during a massive raid on the presidential office.

Previously, a team of investigators had sought an arrest warrant for South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol for his declaration of temporary martial law.

According to Yonhap News Agency, investigators believe Yoon led a rebellion and abused his power by declaring martial law last year.
