PNN – A former UNRWA (Relief and Employment Agency for Palestinian Refugees) official questioned the effectiveness of air aid to the war-torn and besieged people of the Gaza Strip.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, quoted by Al Jazeera, “Chris Gunis”, the former spokesman of UNRWA, in a statement questioned the air aid to the people of Gaza, who have been involved in a civil war for the past five months and are still under severe siege.
He described these aids as a television show and in response to a question about whether these aids will have an effect in solving the hunger crisis of the people of Gaza, he said: These measures are not enough, the World Food Organization (FAO) recently announced that one in four people in Gaza suffers from severe hunger and among children one in six is severely malnourished.

He added: Most of the aid that is sent to Gaza by air lands in the sea and does not reach the people of Gaza, and its purpose is not to help the Palestinian people, but to perform a show on TV screens!
This is despite the fact that yesterday the American authorities announced the sending of air aid to the people of Gaza. In recent days, Jordan and Egypt have announced sending aid to the people of Gaza by air. Meanwhile, the real need of the people of Gaza in the current situation is the daily arrival of 500 aid trucks to meet their basic needs of food, medicine and other basic needs.
