Former Zionist Minister Expresses Public Anger Against Netanyahu’s Cabinet.
According to the Palestinian news agency Shehab, the former Israeli war minister, while emphasizing that Netanyahu’s cabinet must be changed, stated that the Israeli cabinet can only be changed through protests and that everyone must take to the streets to end the biggest crisis in Israeli history.
The Zionist official clarified that the resumption of the war was Ben-Gwer’s condition for returning to the cabinet coalition and that this decision had nothing to do with the return of the prisoners.
This is not the first time that former Israeli officials have called for street protests and other forms of opposition to the cabinet. The leader of the Zionist “Democrats” party had called for civil disobedience and a nationwide strike yesterday.
The Association of Families of Israeli Prisoners in the Gaza Strip also issued a statement, strongly criticizing Netanyahu’s performance in the prisoner exchange case, and emphasized: “Experience has proven to us that military pressure does not lead to the release of prisoners.”
The statement said that military action against the Gaza Strip could endanger the lives of the prisoners and cause them to suffer serious injuries.
The association also called on Netanyahu to stop applying military pressure and release all 59 remaining prisoners at once, rather than in stages.
