Four new anti-war petitions signed in occupied territories; Zionist crisis intensifies
According to Al Jazeera, the Zionist website Walla reported that hundreds of Israeli army reservists working in cyber security units have signed a petition calling on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to stop the war and release Israeli prisoners.
Two petitions addressed to Netanyahu on the occasion and signed by hundreds of Israeli army reservists state that Netanyahu is inciting against law enforcement agencies in the occupied territories and endangering their security.
Walla added that the signatories of these petitions are members of the cyber offensive and special operations units in the Israeli army.
According to Walla, 3,000 educational activists in the occupied territories have signed a petition calling for an end to the war and the return of Israeli prisoners through an exchange.
The Zionist newspaper Haaretz announced that 3,500 activists from academic institutions in the occupied territories have called for the release of Israeli prisoners of war, even if it means an immediate end to the war. The petition states that the continuation of the war is being carried out in order to serve political and personal interests, and that continuing this process will lead to the deaths of Israeli prisoners of war and the regime’s military.
The petition considers an agreement to be the only way to guarantee the return of Israeli prisoners of war.
The Zionist newspaper Yedioth Aharonot also announced that 200 families of Israeli prisoners of war and political activists of the regime have published a letter calling for support for the soldiers and pilots who signed anti-war petitions and have been dismissed from their jobs for this reason.
The letter emphasizes that the Zionist regime’s military operations have endangered the lives of Israeli prisoners of war and have so far killed 41 of them.
The letter adds that Netanyahu has deliberately obstructed the implementation of US President Donald Trump’s proposal and is putting the lives of 59 Israeli prisoners at risk. Netanyahu must fully implement Trump’s plan to return all prisoners.
The letter, noting that the continuation of the military operation in Gaza also endangers the lives of Israeli soldiers, stated that the continuation of this operation is not necessary and is based solely on political decisions.
Yedioth added that 200 current and former members of the Israeli Navy have also signed a petition demanding the return of Israeli prisoners, even if it means stopping the war in Gaza.
The Yedioth Aharonot newspaper reported that dozens of former ambassadors and former senior officials of the Israeli Foreign Ministry signed a petition demanding the release of all Israeli prisoners in Gaza. They emphasized that the resumption of the war on Gaza has not resulted in the release of any Israeli prisoners. They must be released even if it means stopping the war.
