France: 10 countries will recognize Palestine.

According to the National website, Canada, Australia, Portugal, Belgium, Malta, Luxembourg, San Marino, Andorra, and France will attend the International Conference on Palestine at the UN headquarters in New York on Monday, which will be co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, and will recognize Palestine.

Reports indicate that Macron, who is traveling to the United States to attend the UN General Assembly, will announce France’s decision to recognize Palestine on Monday at 3 p.m. New York time.

Britain will also announce its decision on Sunday night or Monday. However, the Portuguese Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it will recognize Palestine on Sunday, before the conference.

An adviser to French President Emmanuel Macron, who was not named, said upon announcing the news: “This is a turning point. Either collectively we will be able to take the necessary action to preserve the two-state solution, or we will move towards more problems.”

Macron’s advisor called Israel’s plan to annex parts of the West Bank and expand settlements in the area a “red line” and a “violation of international law,” adding: “This is the most serious violation of UN resolutions.” He added: “Today, the most important issue is that we must take all necessary measures to preserve the two-state solution, but annexing the West Bank is one of the steps that threatens this solution more than anything else.”
