Full-scale battle in northwest Syria; what’s going on in Aleppo?
Al-Nusra Front terrorists launched a heavy attack on Syrian army positions in the outskirts of Aleppo, Hama and Idlib, Syria, on Wednesday.
Al-Nusra Front terrorists and their allied terrorist groups attacked Syrian army positions this morning, Wednesday, and before that, they also fired rockets and artillery at towns and villages on the front lines.
The terrorists launched a missile attack on Nubl and Al-Zahraa, as well as the town of Qitan al-Jil in the western outskirts of Aleppo, and in parallel, they launched a heavy attack on the front lines in the southern outskirts of Idlib and western Hama.
Sputnik reported that the Sinhar, Qitan al-Jabal, Sheikh Aqil and Sheikh Suleiman fronts in the western outskirts are witnessing heavy fighting that is still ongoing, and there has been no change in the map of the areas under their control.
The terrorists also sought to break the front line in the 46th Regiment area.
Immediately after the attack, the Syrian army artillery heavily shelled the axes from which the terrorists launched their attack, and Syrian and Russian warplanes launched heavy attacks on the terrorists’ supply lines, artillery deployment centers, ammunition depots, and military centers.
A field source told Sputnik: “Asabih al-Hamr terrorists launched attacks on several axes in the outskirts of Aleppo and Idlib, and dozens of terrorists were killed during the Syrian army’s attack. The artillery and weapons depots of the Nusra Front on the hills overlooking the town of Dara’ Izza in the northwestern outskirts of Aleppo came under fire.
The Syrian army also heavily shelled the centers controlled by the Turkestani Party and Hurras al-Din terrorists in Jabal al-Zawiya in the southern outskirts of Idlib.
Fierce clashes are ongoing in the axes of al-Sarmaniyyah, al-Furqur, al-Mashiq, and Duwayr al-Ikrad in the western outskirts of Hama and southern Idlib.
Fierce fighting continued, with the Syrian Air Force carrying out heavy strikes on terrorist gatherings on the front lines.
Sputnik reported that the Asaib al-Hammar terrorists are an arm of the Nusra Front and wear red headbands. Asaib was founded by Abu al-Iqazan al-Masri. The group is known for its bloodshed and brutal killings of civilians it recruits, as well as Syrian prisoners of war.
The Hurras al-Din terrorists are also terrorists who have previously fought in Afghanistan, Bosnia, and the Caucasus.
News sources reported that Russian warplanes are bombing terrorist positions in Syria.
