Gallant physically clashes with Netanyahu’s office security forces.
The Hebrew-language newspaper Yedioth Aharonot, citing sources close to Benjamin Netanyahu, revealed that then-Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant had a scuffle with security forces from the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office in the days following the start of Operation Storm Al-Aqsa.
According to the report, the video of the clash, which was released by the security cameras of Netanyahu’s office at the Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv, shows that on October 12, 2023, Gallant returned to the ministry’s headquarters at the invitation of Netanyahu’s office to attend a security cabinet meeting that was said to be held underground.
Gallant realized that the meeting was not held at the ministry but was held in Netanyahu’s office and that he could not enter the office; thus, Gallant clashed with security forces from Netanyahu’s office.
The Aharonot report states that Netanyahu deliberately intended to humiliate the former Defense Minister.
