PNN – The Leviathan and Karish gas fields in the occupied territories, which until yesterday were a symbol of the Zionist regime’s energy self-sufficiency, were closed today within range of Iranian missiles.
The Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper and Channel 12 of Israel Television announced today, Tuesday, the complete cessation of operations in the Leviathan and Karish gas fields.
According to these reports, the threat of Iranian missiles and drones, which have made the skies of the region unsafe, has forced companies active in these fields to evacuate their forces and halt drilling and extraction activities.
Reports indicate that, as Iran’s attacks on military targets in the region increase and tensions in the Mediterranean Sea escalate, oil and gas prices in global markets have been on an upward trend. However, this price increase is not only not beneficial for Israel, but also has faced the regime with a serious challenge in supplying domestic energy due to the cessation of production in major gas fields.
