Gaza ceasefire agreement is a historic opportunity for lasting peace in the Middle East.
Shahbaz Sharif wrote in a message on his official account on the X social network: “Announcing an agreement that ends the genocide in Gaza is a historic opportunity to ensure lasting peace in the Middle East.”
Regarding the role of the US President in this process, he also said: “Trump has shown his commitment to global peace, and the efforts of the mediators are commendable.”
The Pakistani Prime Minister emphasized: “We must all pay tribute to the Palestinian people; a people who have suffered in an unprecedented way; a suffering that must never, ever be repeated.”
Shahbaz Sharif also expressed deep concern about the recent provocative actions of the Zionists in desecrating Al-Aqsa Mosque, strongly condemning it.
He added: “The world must hold the occupiers and settlers accountable and prevent any action that undermines the great efforts of the parties to the current agreement to reduce tensions and pave the way for lasting peace.”
The Prime Minister of Pakistan stated that the country will continue to work with partners, friends and leaders of its brotherly countries to ensure that peace, security and dignity are established for the Palestinian people in accordance with their demands and UN resolutions.
According to IRNA, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement an hour ago officially announcing the achievement of an agreement to end the war in Gaza and exchange prisoners.
Hamas announced in the statement: After responsible and serious negotiations held by the Palestinian resistance movement and groups on the proposal of the US President in Sharm el-Sheikh aimed at ending the genocidal war against the Palestinian people and the withdrawal of the occupiers from the Gaza Strip, the Hamas movement announces the achievement of an agreement that includes the end of the war on Gaza, the withdrawal of the occupiers, the entry of aid and the exchange of prisoners.
