Gaza government: America proved to be the cause of the continuation of the war in Gaza.
In response to the repeated US veto of a Security Council resolution to end the Gaza war, the Government Information Office in the Gaza Strip issued a statement saying: “We condemn in the strongest terms the US use of its veto against the draft international resolution in the Security Council that calls for an immediate and permanent ceasefire and guarantees unhindered access to humanitarian aid to Gaza.”
The Government Information Office in the Gaza Strip added: “This shameful US veto, which was carried out despite the support of 14 out of 15 members of the Security Council for this resolution, is a new stain on America’s moral record. This veto demonstrates America’s full alignment with the Zionist regime’s killing machine and direct political support for war crimes committed against Palestinian civilians, primarily children, women, the sick, and the elderly.”
The Gaza government body stressed: “The justifications and excuses put forward by the US representative to the Security Council and official representatives of the US government can only be considered within the framework of legitimizing genocide, approving aggression, and justifying a war of starvation, destruction, and mass killing against defenseless civilians. This action is a clear violation of all international norms and conventions and a clear challenge to international humanitarian law, UN resolutions, and the principles of justice and fairness.”
