Gaza government calls for international investigation into Israeli crimes.

The Government Information Office in the Gaza Strip warned of the spread of the famine disaster in the Strip, and in a new statement, the Israeli authorities continued to commit systematic crimes against more than 2.4 million civilians in the Gaza Strip through the policy of blockade and preventing the entry of basic humanitarian needs.

The Government Information Office in the Gaza Strip emphasized: 70 consecutive days have passed since the complete closure of all crossings leading to the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in the prevention of the entry of 39,000 trucks carrying humanitarian aid, including fuel, food and medicine.

All bakeries in the Gaza Strip completely stopped their work 40 days ago, which has deprived the residents of Gaza of bread as a staple food and exacerbated the famine and malnutrition crisis, especially among children, the sick and the elderly; Where more than 65,000 children are at risk of death due to malnutrition and food insecurity, and the occupying regime uses hunger as a weapon against civilians.

The Gaza government agency added: “In light of the food shortage, the constant disruption of medical centers, and the alarming danger of the end of most medicines and medical equipment, tens of thousands of families in Gaza are at risk of destruction. The Israeli occupation regime and the countries that support this regime at the military and political levels and at all levels, led by the United States, Britain, Germany and France, are fully responsible for the crimes against civilians in the Gaza Strip and its catastrophic and serious consequences on the lives of civilians, public health and the fate of hundreds of thousands of sick and elderly children.”

The statement continued: “We call on the international community, the United Nations and the Security Council to take immediate and serious action to prevent the continuation of the Zionist regime’s systematic crimes in imposing a siege and collective punishment against civilians in the Gaza Strip, and to pressure this regime to immediately and unconditionally allow humanitarian aid into the Strip.”

The government information office in the Gaza Strip also called for sending independent international investigative teams to document the crimes of the Zionists and to try the criminal leaders of the occupation regime in international courts, emphasizing: “Continuing international silence in the face of these crimes is considered clear complicity with them, and by protecting the occupiers from punishment, it makes them more brazen in continuing their crimes against humanity and the killing and siege of defenseless civilians.”
