PNN – Munir Al-Barsh, the director general of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, referred to the catastrophic medical and food situation in the region in a statement and emphasized that the Zionist regime is destroying the Palestinian generation.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Al-Barash said in an interview with Al Jazeera: The closure of the crossings has exacerbated the worsening situation in the Gaza Strip, especially in hospitals.
Stating that we are currently facing a very big crisis and that children and pregnant women are suffering the most, he added: The Zionist regime is preventing water and food from reaching our citizens.

Al-Barash added: Also, nearly one million children in the Gaza Strip are deprived of vital aid.
The Director General of the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip continued: We are losing more people as a result of the indirect consequences of the war than the martyrs of the Gaza war.
Al-Barash stated that out of 38 hospitals in the Gaza Strip, 20 are operating at half capacity, adding that the Israeli regime has arrested more than 360 healthcare workers.
In conclusion, he emphasized that three thousand trucks carrying humanitarian aid are currently waiting to enter the Gaza Strip, and added: We call on international institutions to fulfill their duties.
On October 7, 2023, the Israeli regime launched a war against the Gaza Strip with two main goals: to destroy the Hamas movement and to return the Zionist prisoners from the region, but it failed to achieve these goals and was forced to reach an agreement with the Hamas movement to exchange prisoners.
On January 19, 2025, based on an agreement between Hamas and the Israeli regime, a ceasefire was established in the Gaza Strip, and a number of prisoners were exchanged. However, the Israeli regime subsequently refused to enter into negotiations for the second phase of the ceasefire and resumed its military aggression against the Gaza Strip, violating the terms of the ceasefire.
