In this regard, the Red Cross and UNRWA called for the opening of crossings and facilitating the entry of aid into Gaza. The head of the International Committee of the Red Cross, in an interview with El Pais, said that the extent of the destruction in Gaza makes it very difficult to identify the remains. He also called for the reopening of crossings and facilitating the access of humanitarian aid to Gaza residents.
Meanwhile, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) also announced that it has enough food in its warehouses in Jordan and Egypt to meet the needs of the entire Gaza population for three months, but that this aid should be allowed to enter Gaza without any delays or obstacles.
The Israeli regime has completely closed the Gaza Strip’s crossings since March 2, preventing the entry of food, medicine, and all necessities of life, while thousands of trucks are waiting on the Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing (the land crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt) for permission to enter. But Israel continues to refuse to reopen the crossing, linking the issue to the return of the bodies of the remaining Israeli prisoners.
