PNN – The Government Information Office in Gaza condemned today’s crime by the Israeli regime in the city of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, which resulted in the martyrdom of nine Palestinians, and emphasized that more than 150 Palestinians have been martyred since the official announcement of the ceasefire in the region.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Quds Press, Ismail Thawbata, director of the government information office in the Gaza Strip, issued a statement saying: We strongly condemn today’s heinous crime by the Zionist army of the occupying regime in the city of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, which led to the martyrdom of nine civilians, including several cameramen and aid workers, while documenting the activities of a charity association in the area.
Thawbata added: This crime is a continuation of the Zionist regime’s war crimes against the Palestinian people and a renewed escalation of the aggression against the Gaza Strip, which is taking place especially at the same time as news is being released that orders have been issued by the Zionist regime’s political leaders to intensify military attacks on this region. This indicates the regime’s secret decision to commit crimes and violate all international laws and treaties; so that Netanyahu, as a criminal wanted by the International Court of Justice, has not only committed the crime of besieging the Gaza Strip and depriving it of all the necessary facilities for life, but has also escalated the crime of murder and attacks on civilians.
Ismail Thawbateh, pointing out that the Zionist regime has recently intensified its field crimes against civilians, said: The occupying regime has martyred 150 people since the ceasefire was announced in the Gaza Strip last January, only 40 of whom have been martyred in the past two weeks. All of these martyrs were civilians, including a number of children who were trying to collect firewood or search their homes, but were targeted by the occupying army.
Finally, Thawbateh called on the International Criminal Courts and Justice to take immediate action regarding the crimes that the Zionist regime and its leaders, including Benjamin Netanyahu, have been convicted of committing against the Palestinian people.
The Israeli army carried out an aggressive attack on the city of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip on Saturday, using a drone, which resulted in the martyrdom of nine Palestinians, including three journalists and several cameramen.
Palestinian media also published a video of the martyrdom of Palestinian journalist Mahmoud Aslim in the attack.
This attack was carried out while, according to the agreements, the Gaza ceasefire should have been in its second phase, but this did not happen due to the Israeli regime’s sabotage.
During 471 days of war and slaughter in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli army failed to achieve its declared goals and was ultimately forced to accept defeat in the face of resistance and a ceasefire agreement.
After much wrangling and internal disagreements between the Zionists and the regime’s cabinet ministers, the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip entered the implementation phase.
This agreement is supposed to be implemented and completed in three stages, but so far it has not entered the second stage due to the Israeli regime’s obstruction.
