Ben David described this situation as a sign of the “unprecedented erosion of the Israeli army” and a “deep social crisis.”
It is worth noting that Israel’s Army Radio, amid ongoing heavy and targeted censorship of the true casualty figures, acknowledged on Monday that since October 7, 2023, 1,152 Israeli soldiers have been killed, around 42% of whom were under 21 years old.
The report from Israeli Radio further stated that more than 6,500 members of the families of the deceased have joined the list of families of fallen soldiers, which includes approximately 1,973 parents, 351 widows, 885 orphans, and 3,481 brothers and sisters.
