Gaza: UN approves one of the eight aid plans.

Stephane Dujarric told reporters on Wednesday local time that only one of eight planned aid operations into Gaza had been facilitated on Tuesday.

He added that the UN and its partners coordinated eight humanitarian operations inside Gaza with Israeli authorities, while seven others were either obstructed, rejected or cancelled.

Despite these challenges, the UN managed to collect more than 200 pallets of medicine and five tankers of fuel from the Kerem Shalom crossing, along with additional tents.

The UN spokesman said that “delivering aid to Gaza is making a significant difference,” noting that not a single hospital in Gaza is fully operational and only half of the hospitals are partially operational.

Dujarric said the World Health Organization facilitated the transfer of 33 Palestinians in need of intensive care and more than 100 companions on Monday.

However, he noted that more than 16,500 patients require medical care outside Gaza.

“We call again for unhindered humanitarian access so that teams can reach everyone in need,” Dujarric said, stressing that the organization could do much more “once the restrictions on relief supplies and aid teams are lifted.”

The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said the humanitarian situation in Gaza remained dire despite the ceasefire.
