PNN – The Director General of the World Health Organization announced the complete collapse of the health system in Gaza, referring to the targeting of 250 hospitals in the West Bank and Gaza since the beginning of the war.
According to Pakistan News Network, citing Mehr, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the director general of the World Health Organization, announced on Friday evening at the briefing meeting of the UN Security Council, referring to the “complete shutdown of the health system in the Gaza Strip”, that at least half of Gaza’s hospitals, i.e. 36 hospitals, are out of service.
Calling the medical conditions in Gaza shocking, he announced that more than 250 medical centers in Gaza and the West Bank have been targeted since the beginning of the recent war in the past month.

The director-general of the World Health Organization explained that hospital corridors are full of wounded and Palestinian refugees, and that surgical services for the wounded are performed without anesthesia due to the lack of medical services.
Considering the insufficient medical and humanitarian aid to the wounded in Gaza, Tedros demanded an increase in humanitarian aid from the Rafah crossing to Gaza.
The head of the World Health Organization called for a ceasefire to provide aid to civilians in Gaza.
