The German Chancellor continued: We are very far from that (the deadline set by Trump).
Meretz said on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Johannesburg: This does not mean that it is completely impossible to achieve. Given the current disagreements, I doubt that such an outcome is possible.
Meanwhile, according to the BBC, Donald Trump has given Ukraine until Thursday to agree to the 28-point proposal. He warned that the plan was not a “final proposal” and that deadlines could be extended if things “go well.”
Meretz added that the focus now should be on preparing a document that is acceptable to Ukraine and can then be used to negotiate a peace agreement with Russia.
