PNN – In light of the new threatening circumstances, the German Foreign Minister called for the rapid and immediate implementation of the compulsory military service plan.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, German Federal Foreign Minister Johann Wadful stressed the need to immediately resume compulsory military service in his country.
The German minister told the newspapers of the Funke media group: I am in favor of immediate conscription. But we need to discuss this with each other within the coalition.
Next week, the German Federal Parliament (Bundestag) will debate for the first time a draft bill from the federal government that initially proposes a new voluntary military service. If the bill does not meet the Bundeswehr’s personnel needs and the security situation requires it, the draft bill calls on the federal government and the Bundestag to decide on the implementation of compulsory military service at a later date.
In another part of his speech, Wadfull emphasized that he has repeatedly supported immediate military service and remains committed to it.

He noted that the draft law could now be made stricter, as defense politicians from the Christian United Parties parliamentary faction are also calling for it.
The German official said: The government has made proposals; now the parliamentary groups must negotiate and decide what the law will be. Regarding the threat situation, Wadful said that during the negotiations, of course, the general conditions must be taken into account.
In another part of his speech, Wadfull warned against overreacting to the repeated incidents involving suspicious Russian drones in the skies of NATO countries.
In another part of his speech, the German Foreign Minister stated: Crossing the border now would be a mistake. We are currently seeing in the verbal confrontation that Russia is trying to turn the page.
Wadfull called for further development of air defense capabilities, saying: Effective deterrence requires the necessary technical equipment and the creation of a legal basis within the country, for example, for defense against drones.
The German Foreign Minister also called for caution, given warnings of an imminent Russian attack.
