PNN – While the US veto against a draft resolution to immediately halt the war in Gaza has angered various countries, Tel Aviv was delighted by the move.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing Al Jazeera, the US’s repeated veto of a draft resolution on an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip has sparked international outrage.
The Russian representative to the United Nations emphasized that the United States is complicit in the brutal massacre of the Israeli regime in the Gaza Strip.

According to the report, all 14 other members of the Security Council voted in favor of the resolution, but the United States alone opposed it and blocked its adoption with its veto.
This resolution was introduced in the wake of the escalation of the Israeli regime’s attacks on the Gaza Strip and the continuing humanitarian crisis in the region, with the aim of exerting pressure to stop the war.
The US representative to the UN Security Council said: We oppose this draft because it includes the implementation of a permanent and unconditional ceasefire in the Gaza Strip!
The British representative to the Security Council announced that London supports a resolution calling for an end to the fighting and facilitating the delivery of aid to Gaza. He added: Tel Aviv’s decision to expand operations in Gaza and restrict aid arrivals is unjustified and will have counterproductive results.
China’s representative to the Security Council said: The result of the vote in the Security Council showed that the reason for the institution’s inability to end the Gaza crisis is the obstruction of the United States. The Slovenian representative to the Security Council also called for an immediate end to the war in Gaza.
In the face of this wave of international reactions, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked the United States for vetoing the draft resolution, saying that the move once again demonstrated the close cooperation between Tel Aviv and Washington.
