PNN – Regarding China’s 2-day exercise around the island of Taiwan, the Global Times of China announced that Taiwan was deliberately given the opportunity to identify Chinese fighters in order to achieve the deterrence goal of the exercise, otherwise Taipei would not be able to identify and deal with them.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network from the Global Times publication, after the inauguration ceremony of Lai Ching-te, the new president of the island of Taiwan, China held a two-day joint exercise called the Punishment Exercise around the island.
This great exercise shocked the Taiwanese separatists to such an extent that even the pilots of the island’s air force admitted: We will lose this war.
According to the report of Taiwan’s defense authorities, last Thursday and on the first day of the exercise, China used 49 military fighters and 19 ships around the island, and the next day (Friday) it used 62 military fighters and 27 ships.
A Beijing-based military expert, who did not want to be named, said in response to Taiwan’s defense officials’ statement that several Chinese military warships and warships had been detected: detection does not mean the ability to defeat.

He stated that the purpose of this exercise was deterrence and a warning to Taipei authorities, and added: Taiwan will not have the opportunity to focus on any of our aircraft in a state of war, and Beijing only wanted to demonstrate its capabilities, so it is natural that it allowed them to be detected.
The Global Times also quoted a Taiwanese pilot and wrote: This year, many pilots of the island’s air force have requested retirement, so that the young pilots are even willing to pay a compensation of 3 million Taiwan dollars ($93,000) for their resignation.
This pilot also added: Our air force has been focused on scramble flights (emergency flights), night maintenance and midnight training sessions, but it ignored the situation of the soldiers and always insisted on resisting Beijing’s threats.
Zhang Chi, a professor at the National Defense University of the Chinese Army, also stated in this regard: Our naval and air forces affected the island of Taiwan in several ways during this exercise and put severe pressure on the army and the activities of this island.
He added that the Chinese military will use high-powered “anti-peace” methods whenever Taiwan’s separatists dare to assert their existence.
