PNN – In light of regional developments and increased discussions about Syria’s political future, the head of the country’s interim government Golani emphasized in statements that Damascus opposes any misuse of Syrian territory to threaten other countries and parties.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, citing the website of the Russia Today network, “Ahmad al-Sharaa”, the head of the interim Syrian government, known as “Abu Muhammad Golani”, emphasized in an interview with the New York Times today the need for the foreign military presence in Syria to be in line with the country’s internal laws, saying: We have made it clear to all parties that any military presence on Syrian soil must be in accordance with our laws and must not be used as a threat against other countries and parties.
Referring to the interest of some countries in the stability of Syria after the fall of the regime of former President Bashar al-Assad, he warned that instability in Syria will harm the region and the world and threaten international security.
Golani also called on Washington to lift sanctions imposed during the previous regime.

Golani also stressed that Syria has not yet received an offer to replace its Russian weapons.
Recalling Damascus’ long-standing cooperation with Moscow in the fields of food and energy, he emphasized that these interests must be taken into account in decision-making.
The head of the Syrian interim government continued to address the state of the country’s army and said: A few months is not enough to build a national army for a country the size of Syria.
He also responded to a question about the bloody events in the Sahel region in March and the massacre of Alawites, Al-Sharaa claimed that the government is committed to maintaining peace in the region and that all perpetrators of these conflicts will be held accountable.
