The report said that the Republic of Azerbaijan also did not attend the meeting, which was held yesterday in Doha, and does not intend to send its forces to the Gaza Strip. The country also does not plan to join normalization agreements with Tel Aviv in the near future.
Haaretz added that the Republic of Azerbaijan, unlike Kazakhstan, which joined the agreement, sees no necessity in this regard. Countries such as Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Belgium, Estonia, South Korea, Nepal, and others also did not attend the Doha meeting. Turkey was not invited to the meeting at all. In contrast, representatives from Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Morocco, the UAE, Bahrain, Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and several other countries participated.
This comes as so far only two countries have declared their readiness to deploy forces to Gaza under Trump’s plan. Indonesia and Italy have said they are willing to send forces to monitor the ceasefire and borders provided that no clashes occur with Hamas forces.
