Guterres: The war in Gaza has been the bloodiest conflict for UN staff’

According to Al Jazeera, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres criticized the high number of human casualties in the Gaza war.

Based on this, Guterres wrote on his personal page on the X social network (former Twitter): Since the commemoration of the fallen UN staff in 2023, many Palestinians have lost their lives.

Referring to the high number of human casualties in the Gaza war, he further pointed out that out of 188 UN employees who lost their lives while performing their mission last year, 135 of them were related to UN employees who died in Gaza was killed by Zionist soldiers, which is by far the highest number of UN troops who have lost their lives in a single conflict.

In the continuation of Guterres’ message, it is stated: Since the commemoration ceremony for the dead UN staff was held on Thursday, until today, we have witnessed the death of more civilians during the operations of the Israeli army. This is not acceptable and this horror must stop.

Earlier, the Secretary General of the United Nations had angered Tel Aviv by putting the name of the Zionist regime on the black list for killing children. So far, 15,500 Palestinian children have lost their lives during the brutality of the Zionist regime in Gaza since October 7.
