PNN – The Haaretz newspaper reported that the Israeli army is riddled with major contradictions in its claim that there is a Hamas tunnel under the European Hospital in Gaza.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, Israeli media reported a series of heavy airstrikes by the regime on and around the European Hospital in Gaza City in the city of Khan Yunis in an attempt to assassinate senior Hamas commander Mohammed al-Sinwar. The occupying army claimed that the hospital was home to Hamas’ headquarters. Now, the Haaretz newspaper has denied this claim in a report written by Bar Peleg.

The Israeli military claimed to have discovered a Hamas tunnel during an attack on the European Hospital in Gaza in Khan Yunis. To prove this claim, the military released a photo that it said showed the entrance to the tunnel. However, an investigation by Haaretz revealed that the photo was actually of the Jenin School, located near the hospital, and not the hospital itself.
According to an analysis of aerial imagery by Haaretz, the Israeli Air Force directly bombed the hospital, creating at least six large holes in its grounds. “However, the army has made its claim without providing convincing evidence that a tunnel exists beneath the hospital,” Haaretz wrote.
According to the newspaper, these contradictions in the official Israeli army narrative demonstrate clear confusion and reiterate previous criticisms by international media about the lack of conclusive evidence of the presence of Hamas military infrastructure in Gaza hospitals.
It should be noted that the Haaretz report was removed from the newspaper’s website hours after publication.
