Half of the Japanese people want the resignation of the prime minister

Pak Sahafat – A new poll in Japan showed that 51 percent of the country’s people want the resignation of prime minister as soon as possible, and his approval rating has reached a low of 25 percent.

According to Pak Sahafat News Agency, a new survey published by “Mainichi” newspaper shows that more than half of the Japanese people want the resignation of Prime Minister Fumio Kishida as soon as possible.

According to the poll, 51 percent of respondents are in favor of Kishida resigning as soon as possible, and only 12 percent of Japanese want him to remain prime minister “as long as possible.”

Mainichi wrote that 25 percent of Japanese people believe Kishida should step down as prime minister in the fall, when the Liberal Democratic Party elects a new leader.

According to this report, the changes implemented in the Japanese cabinet by Kishida did not affect his low popularity and it is still at the lowest level of 25%. This figure was one percent higher than in the previous survey in August.

Stating that the Japanese Prime Minister’s approval rating has reached its lowest level since December 2022, this newspaper wrote: “The number of those who do not support the government also makes up almost two-thirds, 68 percent of Japanese people.”

According to Mainichi, only 10 percent of respondents said their expectations of the new cabinet had increased after the reshuffle, when only six of the 19 ministers retained their posts.

This polling study was held on the 16th and 17th of September with a statistical population of 1050 people.
