PNN – After Zionist officials claimed a temporary ceasefire in Gaza and progress in prisoner exchange negotiations, the media adviser to the head of Hamas’ political office said the movement was seeking a permanent, not a temporary, ceasefire.
According to the report of Pakistan News Network, “Tahir al-Nunu”, the media adviser of the head of the political office of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), emphasized this Monday evening that the ceasefire in Gaza is the main prelude to any subsequent action regarding the prisoner exchange agreement.
Today, Israeli and Western media claimed progress in negotiations regarding the exchange of Palestinian and Israeli prisoners. The Zionists are trying to free the prisoners held by Hamas without a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire, but the Palestinian resistance has declared this as a precondition for any agreement.
Pointing out that the exchange of prisoners and the reconstruction of Gaza are in the stage after the ceasefire, Al-Nunu said: The main thing is to stop the attacks on the Gaza Strip, and when this issue is done, other details can be checked.

He also emphasized that “in the beginning, we are talking about a complete and comprehensive ceasefire, not a temporary ceasefire”.
Mohammad bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, said an hour ago that the negotiations regarding the Palestinian and Israeli prisoners have improved compared to the previous weeks, and the current stage of negotiations can lead to a permanent ceasefire in the future.
Al-Nunu held Israel and Benjamin Netanyahu personally responsible for breaking the agreement and said: The Palestinian nation and the power of resistance are the first guarantee [of the implementation of the agreement]. Apart from the fact that Qatar, Egypt and Türkiye have also given political guarantees.
He stated that “America should understand that Israel has lost the war”, and noted: “It is still too early to talk about the number of prisoners who will be released, but we are looking for the release of our prisoners and guaranteeing their recapture.”
The Israeli media reported yesterday that the heads of Mossad and Shabak of the Zionist regime held talks with American, Qatari and Egyptian officials in Paris. The purpose of these negotiations is to “move towards a new prisoner exchange agreement” between Israel and the Palestinian resistance.
Israel TV also reported that the meeting was over and “there has been progress in the negotiations.” In this meeting, the plan to release prisoners was reviewed in several stages. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office also called the negotiations “constructive”, but at the same time said that there are still “big gaps”.
