Hamas asserts that Israel’s killing of 251 journalists in Gaza is a breach of international law.
According to Quds Press, the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) issued a statement on the occasion of the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian Journalists, emphasizing: These heinous crimes against journalists in the Gaza Strip will not be subject to the statute of limitations, and this regime will never succeed in hiding the truth or preventing the disclosure of the crimes of the fascist occupying regime and its aggression against our nation, land and sanctities.
Holding the occupying regime and the United States, as its supporter, responsible for all the crimes that have occurred against Palestinian journalists and the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip over the past 23 months, the Hamas movement stated: Zionist propaganda, which is based on lies and deception, has failed to achieve its goals and has collapsed in the face of the rightfulness of the Palestinian cause, the steadfastness of the Palestinians and their legitimate rights.
The Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, appreciating the stances taken in solidarity with journalists and media activists in Palestine, called on all Arab, Islamic, and international media outlets to continue their role in covering the crimes of the occupiers and to defend the legitimacy of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinians.
The movement also called on journalistic unions and syndicates around the world to increase their activities in solidarity with Palestinian journalists and to use all means to exert pressure on the occupying regime to allow international media and journalists to enter the Gaza Strip so that the truth can be conveyed to the world.
Hamas called on the international community and human rights institutions and organizations to condemn the crimes of the occupying regime against journalists in Palestine and to initiate legal cases against the leaders of this regime for committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip in international courts.
